the Process of coming home to Self

Somatic work can offer a profound sense of understanding and self-awareness. It does require a level of willingness to engage in the process of going deeper and being sensitive to what comes up. Taking time and making space to dive into who you really are, in this moment - separate from who you have been in the past - is really challenging work. It asks of us a level of honesty and opening up to the possibility of not knowing. We build a foundation of stability and confidence on the fact that we know - how we feel in our bodies, who we are in the world, what we want out of life, what matters to us - and with that all of the tools and shortcomings we carry. Somatic bodywork, breathwork and intentional rest is not passive. It requires you to engage with the subconcious parts of you and ask if those beliefs and truths are supporting you on your present journey. It’s a practice of receiving care and softening into new possibilities.

This is your session and I’m happy to adjust in order to meet your comfort and needs. With that, I may pose questions for you to reflect on, tapping into sensations that may surface in your body. You are welcome to respond in dialogue or private contemplation. Ultimately, the work is meant to create safety & comfort, and to shine light on parts of your body and psyche that are driving your conscious decisions. This way you can ask the question, ‘Is this how I want to show up in my body and my life?’
